    At every meeting the unique features of the Society of Pelvic Surgeons become visible. The comprehensive scale of the meetings, the multidisciplinary approach, the focus on surgery and surgical issues and the low-threshold interaction between attendants. This interaction is remarkably friendly and not only in a professional context but often also cordially as the interrelationship between friends. The basis of this all and the pulsating artery of the SPS is and remains the yearly scientific meeting. Without these meetings the SPS would lose much of its 'raison d'être' and without scientific presentations these meetings would not exist.

    So, I call on you to send in your abstracts for the upcoming meeting in New York. Share your work, your vision or your past experience with us and, please, don't wait until the last day to send us your papers. Do it soon!

    We are looking forward to a bunch of interesting contributions to our 70th meeting next September/October. Further details will be available soon.
